Now if I could only get a kiln!!!! It appears that may not happen this school year, so students may never see their work finished.
Oh well, they are hard at work with their coil projects, now that the pinch pots are on the drying shelves. Here's some shots of the five class shelves ... individual pots to follow - tomorrow.
Do you have the space/freedom/facility to do a pit firing with some of these pinch pots? It wouldn't be hot enough to get anything vitrified for "functional" use, but there are certainly some options there. Of course, it also means wide open spaces and open flame which may or may not be possible with younger students!
