Had this nice little pot and didn't quite know what to do with it... so today at lunch I tried something a bit different with the carving. Don't know if it quite works or not, I'll let it stare at me for a day or so and see how I like it. What do you think??
I think yes!
ReplyDeleteI really like this little pot. I like carving, it gives the glaze so much to do!
ReplyDeletelooks to me like it turned out perfect!
ReplyDeleteI think the carving looks good and goes well with the style of the pot with those feet you've used.
ReplyDeleteI like it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouraging words! I haven't really done anything like this carving before, so it looked a little strange to me. I may have to try some more of this... just to say that I have. Who knows, maybe it will take my work in a new direction for the future.
ReplyDeleteI really like it. I think it has a very masculine tropical feel. Very nice. I hope you will let us see it after glaze fired.
ReplyDeleteI especially like the look of carving on burnished earthenware. The man I apprenticed with years ago, David Greenbaum, is an absolute master at this process. Look forward to following your blog.
