It's just a little humid today....
Several inches of rain in the last hour or so.

Pinch pots in production!
The students are working hard to finish up their final pinch pot and get it decorated! Well, actually there are only a couple who have finished their four practice pots yet, but they are getting there!
Meanwhile, I've tried to keep busy as well... just a couple within the last few days.
It's amazing to the students to see what designs you can make with a $1.50 plastic bracelet!
This vessel is 8" at the top of the lid knob, 9" wide, and 3.5" deep. I'm working on a couple more right now! It was so much fun!
The kiln is just finishing the two hour preheat on a bisque load.... the vessel above was too damp still to put it in :-(.

To all the fine blogging potters that follow this student record, I am putting out a question for you. The students start doing a research paper this week, and I need ceramic artists for them to interview.
The students MUST get as much info as possible from your blog, website, etc., and write a rough draft with ten questions to ask you, the artist, BEFORE they even contact you. This will ensure they actually do the research first.
Knowing that this is how the project will be run, How many of you would be willing to do two interviews this school year? I will need at least 25 (twenty five) artists to participate, but the more the merrier! If I have more of you to choose from, there will be less interviews per artist.
Keep your eyes on this blog this week for an entry from each class!
And thanks in advance if you decide to take an interview or two!
