School starts this Monday, and I have spent the last week getting ready. Painted the room (covered the flat black paint with a semigloss black), and shifted contents between three different rooms to make the one behind my desk into the studio!
This year I will choose two different students each week to take pictures of the class's progress, and have them do a write up, then post it here on the blog. This should take care of the technology requirements for the curriculum. Well ... that and the research paper.
Speaking of the research paper ... this year the rules will be different. The student must have an acceptable, graded, rough draft (as well as a list of good questions) in their possession BEFORE they can contact the artist they have chosen. This will cut down on the student wasting anybody's time. If you would be willing to participate this year, please let me know with a comment.
I need at least 25 artists in order to keep any artist from having to do more than two interviews during the entire school year (one per semester). I appreciate all your participation in the past, and look forward to working with you again this year!
Look forward to some interesting, weekly, posts this year!
